In the framework of the project ‘Strengthening capacity of youth offices in 12 municipalities for monitoring and reporting’ for Youth Offices and NGO representatives from PBILD and YEM programs, first training was held on the topic ‘Usage of data for reporting and advocacy’. The aim of the training was to enable the participants to improve their project log frames and their report techniques.
SeConS, in partnership with UNAIDS, is conducting the qualitative study “Gender-sensitive services of relevant governmental and non-governmental actors for people infected and at risk of HIV”. The field research starts on the 16th of November. 100 in-depth interviews will be conducted in Nis and Belgrade with partners of injecting drug users (IDUs) in cooperation with “Drop-in” centers in these cities.
UNDP has published Study on human development which was prepared by SeConS experts. Study is based on field survey on social inclusion in Serbia, conducted in 2009-2010.
In partnership with the municipality of Pirot and in coordination with the Social Inclusion and Poverty Reduction Unit (SIPRU), and supported by the Delegation of the European Commission in Serbia, SeConS is implementing a project aimed at the development of social inclusion policies at the local level. The project includes a variety of activates, from research and education, to exchange of experiences, and apart from Pirot, 5 other pilot municipalities will be included in the realization of the project.
For the Ministry of Economy and Regional Development, and with support of UN Women, SeConS is preparing a baseline study on the scope and characteristics of women entrepreneurship in Serbia. This study will be based on analysis of registered shops and companies, an original survey and quantitative research, as well as available data comparable with conditions in the EU and the region. For the purpose of the project, survey research is conducted on a sample of 450 active and 50 inactive women entrepreneurs.
In order to develop the Strategy for the Improvement of the Economic Position of Rural Women in Vojvodina for the period 2012-2016, a workshop was organized on Fruska Gora. During the workshop, priority areas and strategic objectives for the strategy were defined.
